Stump grinding is a terrific service we offer for home and business owners who need lickety-split removal of problem stumps without a great deal of concern for the roots underneath. Stump removal takes things a step further, in that nothing gets left behind. Both stump and roots are fully extracted, leaving the soil ready for new plants, or really, whatever else the client may wish to use the area for.
Camarillo Green Tree Service Co. conducts professional stump removal of all sizes and situations. No area job site is deemed too difficult—or, yes, too easy. If ever you find yourself in need of tree service, we’re the ones to call.

Why have Tree Stumps Removed?
The most obvious answer to this question is that they tend to be unsightly. Not that we necessarily buck against the poetic interpretations of a sorrowful-looking tree stump in the rain, beckoning bittersweet memories from long ago. The trouble is, scenes like that are normally few and far between. Most times, it’s best to get rid of the stump. Safety is also a concern. Stumps create tripping hazards. Some even have cruel splinters left over from a bad cutting job. And speaking of cutting, lawn tools that are used too close to the stump can get damaged and throw debris.
Beneath the stump lie its roots. After grinding, roots can take anywhere from 5 to 10 years to fully decay. It is not usually recommended that the client do any fresh planting at that spot during that time, as the old roots can inhibit growth. Also, as they decompose, old roots alter acidic levels of the soil, which will make things even harder for the new tree. In short, if fresh planting is what our customer has in mind for the job site, we’ll point toward having the stump fully removed.
